Homework from Hell

So Madman and I are sitting here doing some intense homework, well, he is at least. Took me 3 freakin' hours to finish my Physics 2 work, damn RC Circuits. Now Madman's attempting to whip up a killer Java program, but it seems that his efforts are proving to be worthless. I'm pretty sure he hasn't made any progress in the past hour or so.

If you like being a slacker, here are some tips:

1. Don't be an engineer.
2. Don't take physics 2, especially with Dr. First.
3. Don't take java.
4. Take classes that will be supportive of your heightened procrastination skills (such as English or Management)
5. Don't go to Georgia Tech.

Slacker Activities: 10/26/06

So, I know it's a little late but oh well. What can I say, I slept until 10:30, then had a nice MARTA ride down to school, then a nice 3 hours of physics lab.

Moving on.

The slacker activity for the day is Mini Putt, a challenging putt putt game hosted by Addicting Games. It's pretty easy to play, just make sure you read the instructions under the game...

Great Slackers in History

Alright everyone, I come to you at 2:23 AM to bring you Slackers in History. Our first slacker is ... Richard Linklater. This epic slacker is famous for making movies such as Slacker, Dazed and Confused, and A Scanner Darkly. All of these movies, great slacker movies. Go and watch them... use these as tools in your never ending quest for achieving maximum slackerdom.

Over and out,

The Slacker's Philosophy - First Thought

NiMiAn here with the prototype issue of "The Slacker's Philosophy" where I will pose a random question exploring the psyche of a slacker. Slacker is defined by dictionary.com as:

slack‧er/ˈslækər/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[slak-er]
–noun

1.

A person who evades his or her duty or work

So, the question is: why does the slacker evade their duty or, in other words, wait till the last minute? Some would just say they're lazy, others would say they do better under pressure. Or could it be that slackers are actually the world's group of geniuses since we require less time to do the things others need more for?

What's your reason for being a slacker? What's your take on the slacker society as a whole? Let us know. The floor is now open for friendly debate.

Slacker Activities: 10/25/06

Today's activity is Curveball, a 3d rendition of the classic Pong, but with a unique twist. Along with the added difficulty of full 3-dimensional movement, you and you opponent can put spin on the ball, which provides quite a challenge. Check it out and post your High Scores in the comments section!

Greetings

I would like to introduce myself. The name's Nick, but you will know me as NiMiAn. Dubbed the "Bloggin' Fiend" due to my love of detail and the great number of lengthy posts i have created in the past. Have no fear though, i will leave no painfully long series of words here. Within the next week i will have taken up a certain role, still to be decided. Whatever it may be I will do my best to keep the slackers of this diverse world of course doing what they do best - slacking.

Slaying Time.

Hello all!
I am Adam, also known as "MasterMadman" (which i will be using in my signout, just so you know). I am the Right-hand man of the organization, so to say. I will be contributing to this blog and attempting to make it as awesome as possible for you, the people. I hope that you all enjoy it as much as we enjoy providing it for you.

So I'm just chilling here in my room, watching this thing on Spike TV about how animals just go crazy and attack. It's pretty intense. I have a project due by Thursday night at 11:59 PM. It's probably going to take a hellaciously long time; but what kind of person would I be if I didn't wait till the very last minute to do it. So I will sit here and probably play some vNES. What an awesome thing it is. Awesome, someone just came in the room and wants to play Halo... time to slay some bitches. :)

Over and out,
MasterMadman

Firefox 2.0 Available

For those of you that don't really keep up with internet accessories, the new Firefox browser has just been released, providing a slew of new features, such as revised tab browsing, improved pop-up blocker, and a sleek new look. It blows the doors off of Internet Explorer, but don't take my word for it, click the orange button on the top right of the page to find out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Alright, today we have a fun little website: Explosm.net

Explosm.net features hundreds of comics, flash animations, and art to sort through. I've been browsing through there for a couple weeks now and have yet to be disappointed.
Warning: Some of the material may be inappropriate for children.

Late-night Ramblings

Well so far this thing is goin' pretty well, over 200 views in 2 days isn't bad at all, a lot more than I was expecting. Anyways, I just spent a nice couple hours watching tv and playing video games, slackery at it's finest. The worst part about this whole midnight thing is the fact that I have to get up bright and early every morning (6:30) and it has me completely drained. Why can't I just be done with school? Oh well, leave me some comments so I have something to do.

Until Next Time,
Macia

Slacker Activities pt.1

So I decided that I'm going to make myself semi-useful and start a column for slacker activities. Haven't really thought it through that much so I'm debating between 2 ideas. A: Weekly updates for slacker activities, or B: The Daily Slacker Activity. I started out with A but now I'm leaning more towards B, due to the fact that it will be less time consuming, a little more organized, and will build up my post count faster.

So, without further adieu I bring you

Slacker Activities: 10/23/06

Today's time-consumer is a new site/program called vNES. Simply put, this is a Nintendo emulator that has been integrated into a simple, easy-to-use website.

Over 300 games are offered and most run flawlessly with a simple yet effective control scheme displayed at all times on the top-right corner of the screen. Java is required for the emulator to run and can be downloaded off of the site here.
